Selecting multiple manga at once
Bulk select mode lets you act on multiple volumes at once — perfect for assigning a stack of new additions to a shelf, marking a series as read, or cleaning up duplicates.
How to enter selection mode
Long-press any manga in your Library. You’ll feel a haptic pulse and selection mode activates:
- The volume you long-pressed is selected (with a checkmark overlay).
- The bottom of the screen shows a floating bulk actions bar with a count and action buttons.
- Other volumes can be tapped (single-tap, no long-press) to select them.
How to add or remove from selection
- Tap an unselected volume to add it to the selection.
- Tap a selected volume to remove it from the selection.
The count in the bulk actions bar updates as you go.
Bulk actions
The bulk actions bar at the bottom shows:
- X selected — current count
- Close button (X) — exits selection mode without performing any action
- Action buttons (icons):
- Shelf — Assign all selected volumes to one or more shelves. See Bulk-assigning manga to shelves.
- Read — Mark all selected volumes as completed.
- Delete — Remove all selected volumes from your collection (this opens a confirmation modal).
Exiting selection mode
Two ways to leave selection mode:
- Tap the X (close) in the bulk actions bar.
- Perform a bulk action — selection mode exits automatically when the action completes.
Selection across filters
Selection persists when you change filters or scroll. If you’ve selected 5 volumes and switch to a different shelf filter, your selection remains — you’ll see the count in the bulk actions bar even if some selected volumes aren’t currently visible.
Limits
There’s no hard limit on how many volumes you can select. Selecting hundreds at once is fine — bulk operations are designed to handle large sets.
Tips
- Use filters before selecting. If you want to mark all of a specific series as read, filter to that series first, then long-press to select all.
- Don’t be afraid to use bulk delete. Mistakenly added a few volumes during a Quick Scan session? Long-press the first wrong one, tap the others, hit Delete — done.
