Reporting a bug or requesting a feature
If you’ve hit a bug, have a feature suggestion, or just want to ask a question, here’s how to reach us.
How to contact support
The fastest path is the in-app contact form:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Contact Support (or Help, depending on app version).
- Fill out the form with your message.
- Tap Send.
The form pre-includes some technical metadata (App Version, Catalog Version, your account email) so we have context.
What to include
For bug reports, the more detail the better:
- What you were doing. “I tapped Add to Wishlist on volume X and…”
- What you expected. “…the volume should have moved to my Wishlist.”
- What actually happened. “…nothing happened. The button didn’t respond.”
- Steps to reproduce. “Open Browse → search ‘Berserk’ → tap Vol. 1 → tap Add to Wishlist.”
- Your phone model and OS version.
- Screenshots or screen recordings if relevant.
For feature requests:
- What you want. “I’d like to be able to filter by author.”
- Why you want it. “I collect by author and want a quick way to see all my Junji Ito volumes.”
- How you’d use it. “An author filter chip in the Library would let me jump there quickly.”
Response time
We typically respond within 1–3 business days. Bug reports get prioritized based on severity:
- Critical bugs (data loss, can’t sign in, app crashing on launch) — Same-day or next-day response.
- Standard bugs — A few days.
- Feature requests — We may not respond right away but we read them all and add to our roadmap.
What we can help with
- Bugs and crashes.
- Account issues (sign-in problems, subscription recognition).
- Catalog corrections (wrong cover, wrong title, missing volume).
- Feature suggestions.
- Privacy concerns or data deletion requests.
- General questions about how things work.
What we can’t help with
- Refunds — Apple and Google handle refunds for their respective platforms.
- Manga retail / pricing questions — We’re not a retailer; we’re a tracker.
- Custom feature development for individual users — We can’t do bespoke work but we welcome suggestions for the broader product.
Reporting a security issue
If you’ve found a security vulnerability (potential data leak, authentication issue, etc.):
- Don’t post it publicly.
- Email security@mangavault.app directly (not the in-app form).
- We’ll investigate promptly and credit you (with permission).
Reporting an inappropriate user
If a user is impersonating, harassing, or otherwise behaving badly:
- Use the contact form to report.
- Include their username or friend code.
- Describe the behavior.
Suggestion box
Even if something isn’t a bug or critical, we love hearing what would make Manga Vault better for you. Share your wish list — we read every message.

Tip
When reporting issues, screenshots help enormously. They reduce back-and-forth and let us understand the problem faster.
Thanks
Manga Vault is built and maintained by a small team that cares about manga collectors. Every report and suggestion helps us make the app better. Thank you for taking the time to send us feedback.
