MV Manga Vault Help

My library still shows 50-cap warning after upgrading to PRO

You upgraded to PRO but your Library is still showing the FREE-tier 50-volume warning banner, or PRO features aren’t unlocked. Here’s how to fix.

Step 1 — Restore Purchases

Even after a successful purchase, sometimes Manga Vault doesn’t immediately recognize the new PRO status. Restore Purchases re-verifies:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Restore Purchases.
  3. Wait a few seconds.

If your subscription is found, PRO activates and the warning banner should disappear within seconds.

Step 2 — Force-close and reopen

After Restore Purchases:

  1. Force-close Manga Vault.
  2. Reopen.

Your subscription state should now be reflected throughout the app.

Step 3 — Force a sync

If the banner is stuck:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Catalog Version to force a sync.

This re-pulls your account state, including subscription status.

Step 4 — Sign out and back in

Final fallback:

  1. Settings → Sign Out.
  2. Sign back in.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.

A fresh sign-in often resolves stale subscription state.

Verifying PRO is actually active

Check these as a quick PRO validation:

  • Settings → Theme — Premium themes (Ocean, Sakura, Ember, Matcha) should be selectable, not locked.
  • Scan tab — Quick Scan toggle should be visible.
  • Social tab → Collection Value — Should show your dollar value, not $ ---.

If these are working, PRO is active and the warning banner is just a visual stale state — give it another moment or force-close.

Why the cap warning lingers

The cap warning is computed locally based on:

  • How many owned volumes you have.
  • Your subscription tier.

If the local cache hasn’t refreshed your subscription tier, the warning calculation is using stale data. A sync or sign-out/back-in updates it.

Verifying your purchase

If you’re not sure the purchase actually went through:

iOS

  1. Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  2. Look for Manga Vault. It should be Active.

Android

  1. Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptionsSubscriptions.
  2. Look for Manga Vault. It should be Active.

If you don’t see Manga Vault in your subscriptions, the purchase may not have completed. Try again from the in-app upgrade flow.

What if my subscription IS active but PRO still won’t work

Contact support with:

  • Your Manga Vault email.
  • Apple/Google account email.
  • Receipt or order number.
  • A description of the issue.

We’ll manually link your subscription to your account.

Why is there a delay sometimes

Manga Vault uses RevenueCat to bridge Apple/Google subscriptions to your account. Most subscription events are recognized within seconds, but rarely a delay can occur — usually resolves with a Restore Purchases.

Tip

After every PRO purchase, get into the habit of immediately tapping Restore Purchases. It’s a quick way to confirm everything connected correctly.

I want to verify the cap is actually lifted

After PRO is recognized, the simplest test:

  1. If you’re at 50 volumes, scan one more.
  2. If it adds successfully (no upgrade prompt), the cap is gone.
  3. If you still get an upgrade prompt, PRO isn’t recognized — go through the steps above.
