MV Manga Vault Help

Cross-device sync

Manga Vault syncs your full account across every device you sign in to. Add a volume on your phone, see it instantly on your tablet.

How to use Manga Vault on multiple devices

  1. Install Manga Vault on the second device.
  2. Sign in with the same email/password (or Apple/Google if you used social sign-in).
  3. Wait a few seconds for initial sync.
  4. Your full collection, profile, friends, achievements, and settings appear.

That’s it. Both devices stay in sync going forward.

What syncs

Everything in your account:

  • Collection (volumes, conditions, quantities, custom values, reading progress)
  • Shelves
  • Profile (avatar, bio, privacy settings)
  • Friends and friend requests
  • Achievements and XP
  • Lending records
  • Subscription status (PRO or FREE)

Sync timing

Most changes sync within a few seconds. The lifecycle:

  1. You make a change on Device A.
  2. It saves locally and queues for upload.
  3. The app uploads to our servers (within seconds).
  4. Our servers notify Device B (when push is fully active) or Device B picks it up on next foreground.

In practice, you’ll see changes appear on the other device within seconds of making them.

Manual cross-device refresh

If you want to be extra sure both devices match:

  • On Device B, pull-to-refresh on the Library tab.
  • Or force-close and reopen Device B’s app.

Three-or-more devices

You can use Manga Vault on as many devices as you want simultaneously — phone, tablet, work phone, etc. There’s no device limit.

All devices contribute changes to the same cloud account, so sync is many-to-many.

Different platforms

Mix iOS and Android freely. Manga Vault works the same on both.

The one caveat: PRO subscriptions are platform-specific. If you bought PRO on iOS, it grants PRO on iOS only. Subscribing on Android requires a separate purchase. See Cross-platform PRO.

What if I’m signed in on a device I no longer have

If you’re signed out (or don’t have access to the device) on an old phone:

  • The data on that device might be stale (it last synced when you had it).
  • The data on your active devices is fine.
  • If the old device is recovered or someone else uses it, they’d need your password to sign in. Change your password if you’re concerned.

You can sign out of devices you don’t recognize via Settings → Account → Sessions (when this feature is added).

Cross-device privacy

The privacy toggles on your account apply equally on all devices. Set “Show Bio” off on any device, and it’s off on all.

Syncing after sign-out

When you sign out, your local data is cleared from the device. Signing back in (same account) re-downloads everything from the cloud. Nothing is lost.

If you sign in to a different account on the same device, it pulls down that other account’s data — your original account’s data is gone from this device but still in the cloud (sign in again to get it back).

Tip

Use one main device for daily use (phone) and others for occasional viewing (tablet). All devices stay in sync without effort.
