Editing or deleting a custom shelf

You can rename a shelf, change its color, change its icon, or delete it entirely from the Manage Shelves screen.

Editing a shelf

1. Open Manage Shelves (Settings → Manage Shelves, or FAB → Manage Shelves).
2. Find the shelf you want to edit and tap its ellipsis (⋯) button to open the quick-actions menu. Or: long-press the shelf card.
3. Tap Edit Shelf.
4. Update the name, icon, and/or color.
5. Tap Save.

Changes apply immediately. Volumes already on the shelf stay on the shelf — only the shelf’s own name/color/icon change.

Renaming

If you rename a shelf, all references to it update automatically:

• Shelf chips in filters
• Shelf badges on manga detail pages
• Shelf list in Manage Shelves
• The shelf bottom-sheet picker

Deleting a shelf

1. Open Manage Shelves.
2. Tap the ellipsis (⋯) on the shelf card, or long-press the card.
3. Tap Delete Shelf.
4. A confirmation modal appears: “Delete ‘[shelf name]’? This will remove the shelf, but the manga on it will stay in your Library.”
5. Tap Delete to confirm.

What happens when you delete a shelf

• The shelf is removed from your shelf list and from all your devices.
• Volumes that were on the shelf stay in your Library — they just lose the shelf assignment.
• You can re-create a shelf with the same name, but it’s a new shelf — the old volume associations don’t come back automatically.

Can I delete the Favorites shelf?

No. Favorites is a default shelf and can’t be deleted. If you don’t want to use it, just leave it empty.

Restoring a deleted shelf

There’s no undo. If you delete a shelf and want to recreate it:

1. Create a new shelf with the same name, icon, and color.
2. Re-add volumes to it (you’d need to know which ones — there’s no log of past shelf membership).

If you have a recent data export, the shelf membership is in there and you can manually re-add by reading the export.

Editing shelves on FREE

On FREE, you can edit your 3 custom shelves freely. Editing doesn’t count against creation limits — only the count of shelves matters.

Shelves sync across devices

Editing a shelf on your phone updates it on your tablet within a few seconds (next sync). Deletion syncs the same way.

Shelf renaming and exports

If you’ve shared an export of your collection (or imported it elsewhere), shelf names in the export reflect what they were called at the time. If you rename a shelf afterward, the export file isn’t auto-updated.
