Managing or cancelling your subscription
Subscription billing is managed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android), not directly by Manga Vault. To change plans, update payment, or cancel, you go through your phone’s settings.
How to cancel
iOS
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find Manga Vault.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
You’ll see a confirmation. After cancellation:
- You keep PRO until the end of your current billing period.
- After that, you fall back to FREE tier.
- No further charges.
Android
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Find Manga Vault.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
Same behavior — PRO continues through the current period, then ends.
Faster: from Manga Vault
In Settings → Subscription, tap Manage Subscription. This opens your phone’s subscription management screen for Manga Vault directly — saving a couple of taps.
How to switch plans (monthly ↔ annual)
Switching plans is also handled by Apple/Google.
iOS
- Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Manga Vault.
- Tap the alternate plan.
- Confirm the switch.
Android
- Play Store → profile → Subscriptions → Manga Vault.
- Tap Change plan or the alternate plan option.
- Confirm.
The switch typically takes effect at the start of your next billing period (so you don’t lose money on a current period).
Updating payment method
iOS
Settings → your name → Payment & Shipping. The default Apple ID payment method is used.
Android
Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Payment methods.
Whatever you change here applies to all subscriptions on that account.
When does cancellation take effect
Cancellation does not terminate your subscription immediately. It stops the auto-renewal. You keep PRO through the end of the current period (the time you’ve already paid for).
For monthly plans, this is up to ~30 days from cancellation. For annual plans, this is up to ~365 days from cancellation.
You can re-subscribe any time — re-subscribing is just like a new subscription.
Refunds
Manga Vault doesn’t process refunds directly. Apple and Google handle refunds for their respective platforms.
iOS
Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and submit a refund request for the Manga Vault purchase.
Android
Visit Google Play → Order history → tap the Manga Vault order → Request a refund.
Apple and Google have their own refund policies. They generally honor refunds for accidental purchases or charges within a few days, but discretion lies with them.
I cancelled but still see PRO features
This is normal — see “When does cancellation take effect” above. PRO continues until the end of the period you paid for.
Once the period ends, PRO features will deactivate automatically the next time you open the app.
I want to pause / reactivate later
Apple and Google don’t offer a “pause” feature for subscriptions. To stop temporarily and reactivate later:
- Cancel the subscription.
- Wait until you want PRO again.
- Re-subscribe (this is a new subscription).
Subscription changes don’t affect your data
Whether you upgrade, downgrade, switch plans, or cancel:
- Your collection stays.
- Your shelves stay.
- Your friends stay.
- Your achievements stay.
- Your reading progress stays.
The only things that change are which features are available based on your current tier.
Tip: Annual plan saves money
If you’ve been on monthly PRO for several months and plan to keep it, switching to annual usually saves money. Check the upgrade screen for current pricing.
Privacy
Manga Vault doesn’t see your payment method or billing details. Apple and Google handle all that.
