Why my request hasn’t been added yet
If you’ve submitted a request for a volume and don’t see it in our catalog yet, here’s how to figure out where it is in the process — and what to do.
The four states of a request
| Status | Meaning | What to do |

| Pending | We’ve received your request and are reviewing it. | Wait. Most are reviewed within 2–5 days. |
| Approved | Our team has approved the volume but it hasn’t been published to the live catalog yet. | Try scanning again in a few minutes; the catalog usually publishes shortly after approval. |
| Published | The volume is in the live catalog. | Scan or search for it — it should appear as Found. |
| Rejected | We were unable to add the volume. | Check the reason in My Requests. You may need to resubmit with more details. |
You can see the status of every request you’ve made under Settings → My Requests.
I see “Approved” but the volume still scans as “Coming Soon”
This is normal and brief. Approval and publish are two separate steps. After approval, the volume needs to be batched into the next catalog publish, which usually happens within minutes.
To force a faster check:
- Go to Settings.
- Tap the Catalog Version row in the About section to trigger a manual sync.
- Try scanning again.
My request has been “Pending” for more than two weeks
That’s longer than usual. A few possible reasons:
- It’s an unusual edition (international, out-of-print, special variant) that requires extra verification.
- We’ve been particularly busy with a backlog.
- The request got missed.
Please contact support with the ISBN and we’ll look it up. Including the request ID (visible in My Requests) speeds things up.
My request was rejected — can I appeal?
Yes — message us through support with the ISBN and any additional info (publisher product page URL, retailer link, photos of the cover). If we missed something or got it wrong, we’ll add it.
I requested it but someone else already had
That’s fine — requests for the same ISBN are aggregated. We won’t duplicate work, and once the volume is approved, everyone who requested it sees the same Coming Soon → Found progression.
I forgot what I requested
Settings → My Requests shows every request from your account, sorted by date submitted, including the ISBN, title (if known), status, and submission date.
