Scroll-to-top in your Library
When your Library is scrolled down past a certain point, a small scroll-to-top button appears in the bottom-left corner. Tap it to jump back to the top instantly.
When the button appears
The scroll-to-top button shows up after you’ve scrolled more than ~400 pixels down. It’s a circular button with an upward chevron icon.
How it works
Tap the button and your Library smoothly scrolls back to the top. There’s a subtle haptic pulse on tap.
When it disappears
The button hides again when:
- You scroll back near the top of the Library.
- You enter selection mode (we hide it during bulk-select to avoid clutter near the bulk actions bar).
Differences between scroll-to-top and scrubber
| Scroll-to-top | Scrubber | |
|---|---|---|
| Position | Bottom-left | Right edge |
| Action | Jump to top | Jump to any position |
| Always visible? | Only when scrolled down | When library has 20+ volumes |
| Best for | Returning to top | Reaching specific letter ranges |
Both can be visible at once.
Why a button instead of “tap the status bar”?
iOS’s “tap the status bar to scroll to top” gesture also works in Manga Vault — it’s a built-in iOS behavior. But the scroll-to-top button is more discoverable and works on Android too, so we keep both.
Tips
- Scroll-to-top is great after deep filtering. If you scrolled to the end of a long filtered list and want to start over, tap the button to return to the top.
- Use it with search. After clearing a search, tap the button to get back to a clean top-of-list view.
