Sorting your library
Sort options control the order volumes appear in your Library. Combine with filters to find exactly what you need.
How to access sort options
Tap the Filters button in the filter pill to expand the filter panel. Sort options are at the bottom.
Sort fields
| Option | Order |
|---|---|
| Added Date | When you added the volume to your collection |
| Title | Volume title alphabetically |
| Series | Series name alphabetically, then by volume number |
| Rating | Your rating (★ count), highest to lowest |
Sort direction
For each sort field, you can pick:
- Ascending — Lowest/earliest first (A→Z, oldest→newest, lowest rating first)
- Descending — Highest/latest first (Z→A, newest→oldest, highest rating first)
The default is Added Date, Descending — newest additions appear first.
Common sort patterns
- “What did I just add?” — Sort by Added Date, descending (default).
- “What have I owned the longest?” — Sort by Added Date, ascending.
- “Find a specific volume by title” — Sort by Title, ascending. Combine with Search.
- “See my favorites” — Sort by Rating, descending. Combine with Status: Owned.
- “See my series in order” — Sort by Series, ascending. Volumes within each series sort by number.
Sort persistence
Your sort selection persists across app launches.
Sort by Series — what about volumes without a series?
If a volume isn’t part of a recognized series (e.g., a one-shot), it sorts by its title. Series sorting is usually used to group multi-volume sets together.
Sorting and filtering work together
Sort applies after filtering. So if you’ve filtered to Read Status: Reading and sort by Series ascending, you’ll see only currently-reading volumes, grouped by series alphabetically.
