Active vs Returned tabs

The Lending Tracker has two tabs that organize your lending records: Active for currently-out loans and Returned for completed ones.

Active tab

Shows volumes you’ve lent that haven’t come back yet.

Each entry includes:

  • Cover art and title
  • Borrower name and avatar
  • Days lent counter, color-coded:
    • Green: 0–14 days
    • Amber: 14–30 days
    • Red: more than 30 days
  • Due date (if set)
  • Notes (if any)
  • A “Mark as Returned” button on the entry detail

Sorted by most recently lent at the top by default.

Returned tab

Shows volumes you’ve lent and gotten back.

Each entry includes:

  • Cover art and title
  • Borrower name
  • Lent date and Returned date
  • Total duration of the loan
  • Notes (if any)

Sorted by most recently returned at the top by default.

Switching between tabs

Tap the tab name at the top of the Lending Tracker. The list updates instantly.

Why two tabs?

Active loans need attention (they’re outstanding); Returned loans are historical. Splitting them keeps the Active tab focused on what you need to follow up on, while preserving the full history in Returned for reference.

Stats card

At the top of the Lending Tracker, regardless of which tab you’re on:

  • Currently Lent — Active count
  • Returned — Returned count
  • Total Lent — All-time total (Active + Returned)

Searching and filtering

There’s no full search within tabs (yet). For now:

  • Active tab is usually short enough to scan visually.
  • Returned tab can grow over time, but most users don’t need to search by past borrower frequently.

If you need to find a specific past loan, scroll the Returned tab or use your phone’s app-level search if applicable.

Pull-to-refresh

Pull down on either tab to refresh data. Useful if you’ve made changes on another device.

Empty states

  • If you’ve never lent anything, both tabs are empty with a friendly empty state (“No active loans” / “No returned loans”).
  • The empty state on the Returned tab includes a tip: “When you mark a loan as returned, it’ll appear here.”

Long-term history

Loans stay in the Returned tab indefinitely — we don’t auto-delete old records. Your full lending history is preserved.

Removing entries

To remove a lending record (Active or Returned):

  1. Tap the entry to open its detail view.
  2. Tap Delete.
  3. Confirm.

The entry is removed permanently. (Deleting an Active loan effectively cancels it without marking returned — be sure that’s what you want.)

Sharing lending data

Lending records are private to you (and the borrower in some lookups). They’re included in your data export so you can review or back up if needed.
