Friends, Social & Lending
Connect with friends, compare collections, lend volumes.
- Finding and adding a friend
There are three ways to add a friend on Manga Vault: by friend code, by username, or by scanning their QR code.
- Your friend code (MANGA-XXXX-XXXX)
Your friend code is a unique 10-character ID in the format MANGA-XXXX-XXXX.
- Friend requests (Pending, Sent, Accepted)
When you send or receive a friend request, it lives in one of three states: Pending, Sent, or Accepted.
- Removing a friend
If you no longer want to be friends with someone on Manga Vault, you can remove them at any time.
- The verified badge
A verified badge appears on some accounts to indicate they've passed our verification process.
- The PRO badge on friends' profiles
A PRO badge appears on accounts that have an active PRO subscription.

- Activity status (green dot)
A small green dot on a friend's avatar means they've been active in Manga Vault recently.
- Public profile pages
A public profile page is a shareable web URL where anyone — not just friends — can see a curated version of your Manga Vault profile.
- Editing your profile in depth
The Edit Profile screen is where you control everything about how friends and (optionally) the public see you.

Your username is your unique handle on Manga Vault — like @yourname.
- Uploading a custom avatar or cover image
PRO subscribers can upload custom images for their profile avatar (the small profile picture) and cover image (the banner).
- Privacy toggles — what each one does
Manga Vault has ten privacy toggles that control what friends (and the public, if you enable a public profile) see when they look at you.
- Why "Allow Comparison" is special

- Why my friend can't see my collection value or stats

- What the Lending Tracker is
The Lending Tracker is a built-in tool for keeping track of manga you've lent to friends or others.
- Lending a manga
Use the lending feature to keep track of any volume you've lent to a friend or external borrower.
- Marking a loan as returned
When a borrowed volume comes back, mark it as returned to close the loan and move it to the Returned tab in your Lending Tracker.
- Active vs Returned tabs
The Lending Tracker has two tabs that organize your lending records: Active for currently-out loans and Returned for completed ones.
- Overdue indicators
Active loans show a color-coded days lent badge so you can spot loans that have been out a long time at a glance.
- Editing or deleting a lending record
Lending records can be edited (to fix typos, change due date, update notes) or deleted (to remove the record entirely).
