My PRO subscription isn’t recognised
You bought (or recently renewed) a PRO subscription, but Manga Vault still treats you as FREE. Here’s how to fix.
Step 1 — Restore Purchases
The standard fix:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
- Wait a few seconds.
If a valid PRO subscription is found via your Apple ID / Google account, your status flips to PRO immediately. PRO features unlock.
Step 2 — Verify subscription is active in App Store / Play Store
If Restore Purchases doesn’t find anything, check directly:
iOS
- Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Find Manga Vault.
- Verify it shows as Active (not expired or cancelled).
Android
- Play Store → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Find Manga Vault.
- Verify it’s active.
If the subscription is showing as expired or cancelled, you’ll need to re-subscribe.
Step 3 — Sign out and back in
Sometimes the link between your Manga Vault account and your Apple/Google subscription gets stale. Re-establishing it usually fixes:
- Settings → Sign Out.
- Sign back in.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
Step 4 — Wait a few minutes
Sometimes there’s a brief lag (up to ~10 minutes) between subscription processing and PRO recognition. If you just bought, give it a moment.
Step 5 — Verify Apple ID / Google account match
Your subscription is tied to the Apple ID that bought it (iOS) or the Google account that bought it (Android). If you’re signed in with a different one:
iOS
Settings → your name. Make sure this is the Apple ID that originally subscribed.
Android
Play Store → profile. Make sure this is the Google account that subscribed.
If you’re signed in with a different account, sign out of the device’s Apple ID / Google and sign in with the right one.
Step 6 — Family Sharing complications (iOS)
If you bought PRO via a family member’s Apple ID and you’re using yours:
- Make sure Family Sharing is enabled in iOS Settings → your name → Family Sharing.
- The subscription should propagate to family members automatically.
If Family Sharing isn’t enabled, only the purchaser’s Apple ID gets the subscription.
Step 7 — Cross-platform issue (iOS bought, Android using)
If you bought on iOS and you’re trying to use PRO on Android (or vice versa), it won’t work — Apple and Google subscriptions are platform-specific.
To use PRO on Android, you’d need to subscribe again on Android (or vice versa).
Step 8 — Contact support
If none of the above works, contact support with:
- Your Manga Vault email address.
- Your Apple ID email or Google account email.
- The approximate purchase date.
- Receipt or order number from Apple/Google.
We can manually verify and fix the linkage.
Why this might happen
Manga Vault uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions across Apple and Google. Sometimes the link between your subscription and your Manga Vault account doesn’t sync immediately. This is usually fixed by Restore Purchases.
Tip
After every reinstall or sign-in on a new device, tap Restore Purchases. It’s quick, free, and ensures your subscription status is accurate.
