Streaks and your daily activity

Manga Vault tracks your streaks — consecutive days you’ve used the app. Streaks are part of the Dedication achievement category and motivate consistent engagement.

How streaks work

A streak counts the consecutive days you’ve opened or used Manga Vault. As long as you open the app at least once per calendar day (in your timezone), your streak grows by 1 each day.

Miss a day, and your streak resets to 0 starting from the next day you open the app.

Where to see your streak

Achievements screen — Top header shows “Day Streak” with current count and “Longest Streak” with your all-time best.
Profile — Streak appears on your friend-visible profile (subject to privacy).

What counts as “using the app”

Any activity:

Opening the app to the Home tab.
Adding a volume, scanning a barcode, or any active action.
Even just opening and closing without doing anything counts.

The bar is low — we want streaks to be achievable.

Day boundaries

Streak day boundaries are based on your device’s local time, not UTC. So a streak day runs from midnight to midnight in your timezone.

If you travel across timezones, the boundary shifts but the concept remains: one calendar day = one streak day.

Time-zone edge cases

If you change timezones often (e.g., frequent travel), your streak should still work — we use the device’s current timezone at each check.

If you change timezones in a way that creates two “days” in close succession (e.g., flying east), you only get one streak day.

Streak achievements

The Dedication category includes achievements like:

First Streak — Reach a 7-day streak.
Loyal Reader — Reach a 30-day streak.
Year-long Devotee — Reach a 365-day streak.

(Names may vary slightly.)

What if I don’t open the app for a day?

Your current streak resets to 0. Your longest streak is preserved as a record.

You’d start a new streak from 1 the next day you open the app.

Vacation mode

We don’t currently have a “vacation mode” that pauses streaks. If you go on a long trip and don’t have time to open Manga Vault daily, your streak will reset.

For most users, streaks aren’t the primary motivator — your collection, friends, and reading progress are. Don’t stress about a broken streak; just start a new one.

Streak vs daily quest

Some apps have “quests” or “tasks” that need to be completed daily. Manga Vault doesn’t — opening the app at all is enough.

We deliberately keep streaks low-stakes. The goal is to make daily engagement feel rewarding, not pressure-inducing.

Privacy

Your streak is visible to friends (subject to your Show Achievements privacy toggle). To hide it:

Open Edit Profile.
Turn off Show Achievements in privacy toggles.

Tip

If you’re traveling or on vacation and want to maintain a streak, just open Manga Vault once a day for 5 seconds. That’s it.
