MV Manga Vault Help

A tour of your Library

The Library tab is where every manga you own or have wishlisted lives. It’s the heart of Manga Vault — you’ll spend most of your time here.

What you’ll see

When you open the Library tab, you’ll see:

  • Header — Your collection count and a search bar.
  • Filter pill — A floating bar with view toggle, status filter, and a Filters button.
  • Manga feed — Either a grid of cover art or a vertical list of volumes (your choice).
  • Floating Action Button (FAB) — The + button in the bottom-right corner, with quick actions for adding new content.

Quick actions

Tap the FAB to open a menu of quick actions:

  • Manage Shelves — Jump to your shelves screen.
  • Scan Barcode — Open the Scan tab.
  • Browse & Search — Open the Browse tab.
  • Lending Tracker — Jump to the Lending screen.

Two view modes

Use the view toggle in the filter pill to switch between:

  • Grid view — Cover art tiled in a grid. Best for browsing visually.
  • List view — A vertical list with cover, title, series, and metadata. Best for scanning lots of volumes quickly.

See Switching between grid and list view for details.

Filtering and sorting

Tap the Filters button on the right side of the filter pill to expand options:

  • Status (Owned / Wishlist / All)
  • Read Status (All / Unread / Reading / Completed)
  • Shelves
  • Sort by (Added Date, Title, Series, Rating)
  • Sort direction (ascending / descending)

See Filtering your library and Sorting your library.

Searching

Type in the search bar at the top to filter by title or series name. The list updates as you type.

See Searching your library.

Long-press to select multiple

Long-press any manga to enter selection mode, then tap others to select them all. From there you can bulk-assign to shelves, bulk-delete, or mark them as read. See Selecting multiple manga at once.

Pull to refresh

Pull down on the Library to refresh your collection from the cloud. Useful if you’ve made changes on another device.

Scroll-to-top and scrubber

If your library is large, two navigation tools help you move quickly:

  • Scroll-to-top button — Appears in the bottom-left after you scroll past 400px. Tap to jump back to the top.
  • Scrubber — A small vertical track on the right edge for collections of 20+ items. Drag to fast-scroll through your library with section haptics. See Jumping around a large library.

Tap a manga to see details

Tapping any volume opens the manga detail page with the cover, metadata, reading progress, condition, and more.
