Logging your current page
If you want page-level tracking — knowing you’re on page 89 of 192, picking up exactly where you left off — Manga Vault makes it easy.
How to log a page
On the manga detail page, find the Reading Progress section. There are two ways to update your current page:
Option 1 — Quick adjust buttons
Four buttons: −10, −1, +1, +10. Tap to nudge your current page up or down by 1 or 10. Each tap triggers a haptic pulse.
This is great for quickly catching up after a reading session — +10 a few times gets you to the right page without typing.
Option 2 — Tap the page number
Tap the Current Page display (something like “Page 89 of 192”) to open a numeric input modal. Type your exact page number using the on-screen keypad, then tap Confirm.
What happens when you log a page
- The current page updates immediately.
- The progress bar in the Reading Progress section refreshes.
- If status was Unread and current page is now > 0, status auto-transitions to Reading.
- If you reach the total page count, you’ll be prompted to mark the volume as Completed.
Total pages
To track your progress as a percentage, we need to know the total page count. In most cases this is in our catalog and shows up automatically.
If total pages is missing (some catalog entries don’t have page count yet), the progress bar shows a “Set Total Pages” prompt instead. Tap to enter the value yourself. See Set Total Pages.
Auto-prompt at the last page
When your current page equals the total page count, we ask:
“You’ve reached the last page. Mark as Completed?”
Tap Yes to mark the volume as Completed (with timestamp). Tap No to keep it as Reading (e.g., if you’re not quite done).
Pages and re-reads
If you mark a Completed volume as Reading again (a re-read), the current page resets to 0 so you can track the new read-through. Your timesRead counter increments when you complete the re-read. See Re-reading a completed manga.
Bulk page logging
There’s no way to bulk-set current page across multiple volumes — page tracking is per-volume by design. To bulk-mark volumes as Completed (which sets them to “finished” without specific page tracking), use the bulk mark-as-read action.
Privacy
Your current page is part of your reading progress. Friends can see that you’re reading something when your Show Collection privacy toggle is on (the default). Specific page numbers generally stay private — friends see status (Reading / Completed) but not exact page details.
Forgetting to log
Don’t sweat it. If you read a few chapters and don’t log, just bump the page when you next open the app. Or, if you’ve finished, just mark Completed — the exact final page doesn’t matter for that.
