The PRO badge on friends’ profiles
A PRO badge appears on accounts that have an active PRO subscription. It’s a small star icon next to the user’s display name.
Where the badge appears
- On a friend’s profile screen
- In your friends list (small badge on their card)
- On friend requests (Pending tab)
- In the Lending modal friend picker
What it means
The PRO badge just shows that the user has an active PRO subscription. There’s no functional difference for friends — PRO doesn’t affect how friendships, lending, or comparisons work.
Showing or hiding your PRO badge
If you’re a PRO subscriber and don’t want friends to see your PRO badge, you can hide it:
- Open Edit Profile (Social tab → tap your profile card → Edit Profile).
- Find Show PRO Badge in the privacy toggles.
- Turn it off.
Once off, friends viewing your profile won’t see the badge. Your PRO benefits still work for you — only the visibility to others changes.
Why would I hide my PRO badge?
A few reasons:
- Privacy preference — Some people don’t want billing/subscription status visible to others.
- Avoiding sales-pitch dynamics — Some users would rather not field “is PRO worth it?” questions from friends.
It’s purely cosmetic — your collection value, advanced stats, and other PRO features still work either way.
What if I don’t have PRO?
You won’t have the badge. There’s nothing to configure. Your friends can see you don’t have PRO based on the badge’s absence (or presence) — there’s no separate “FREE” badge.
Why have a badge at all?
It’s a visual indicator that the user supports Manga Vault. Some users like to display it; some want to hide it. The privacy toggle lets each person choose.
Other badges
In addition to PRO, you may see:
- Verified badge (book icon in purple circle) — Identity-verified user. See Verified badge.
Tip
If a friend seems excited about a feature you don’t have, check whether they have PRO. PRO unlocks Quick Scan, Collection Value, premium themes, unlimited shelves, advanced stats, export, and removes the 50-volume cap. See What PRO unlocks.
